Planning Scheme Amendment C194
Greater Dandenong has prepared Amendment C194 to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme. Greater Dandenong City Council is the planning authority exhibiting the Amendment.
The amendment applies to land at 10 Homeleigh Road, Keysborough and 209 Chapel Road, Keysborough. The subject site is designated as a Proposed Primary School Site however this notation is no longer required by the Department of Education and Training.
The Amendment proposes to update Map 1 and seeks to delete the notation "Proposed Primary School Site" from Map 1 - Outline Development Plan of Schedule 5 to the Development Plan Overlay to enable the use of the General Residential Zone 2 in a manner that achieves the objectives of the zone.
What changes are proposed
The Amendment seeks to delete the notation "Proposed Primary School Site" from Map 1 - Outline Development Plan of Schedule 5 to the Development Plan Overlay to enable the use of the General Residential Zone 2 in a manner that achieves the objectives of the zone.
The removal of the Notation from the Outline Development Plan of Schedule 5 will enable the subdivision of the site for residential purposes, which is in accordance with the intent of the original amendment which zoned the area. The subject site well situated to a proposed activity centre and bus routes on Hutton Road.

On 9 October 2017 at their Ordinary Council meeting Council partly adopted and partly abandoned Amendment C194 as per the recommendations of the Planning Panel Report
