Carroll Lane Car Park

The Carroll Lane Car Park provides long-term parking for people who work in and around Dandenong.

The single-level car park will be open Monday to Saturday, 6am to 7pm (except public holidays). The car park will be monitored by CCTV cameras and is well lit. Up to three vehicles can be registered on any one permit. 

Corporate customers can also purchase permits for use by their staff. A maximum of five vehicles can be registered against each corporate permit. 

Permits can be purchased for 3, 6 and 12 month periods.

Permits for the 225-space car park will only be available for people who work within the Dandenong Central Activity District or businesses with premises in that area.

Permit holders will be able to enter and exit the car park via an automated system which incorporates licence plate recognition and a back up electronic access card. 

Permit holders will be issued with an electronic access card which can be scanned upon entering and exiting the car park via the boom gate.

Applying for a permit

To apply for a Carroll Lane car park permit please complete the online registration form below. Eligible customers will then be sent a permit application form via email.

The completed form can be returned to Council together with payment. Forms can be dropped to the Dandenong Civic Centre  where payment can also be made (cash, credit card, cheque). Applications can also be faxed or emailed to Council, with proof of payment (payment options are shown on the form). 

Once processed the customer will be notified by email that their car park access card is ready for collection from the Council's Customer Service Centre, Level 2, Dandenong Civic Centre, 225 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.


Customers are able to purchase parking space (a permit) in this car park in blocks of 3, 6 or twelve months. The introductory fees are:

  • 3 months - $150

  • 6 months - $275

  • 12 months - $500

Fees must be paid in advance and are subject to periodical review, as part of Council’s annual budget process.

When fee increases occur, they will only apply to existing customers when their current permit period expires. For example, if a fee increase commences on 1 July 2017 but your current permit expires on 31 August 2017, the increase will only apply to any renewal fee you pay from 1 September 2017.
