Future of Parks Consultation
Currently on Consultation
We need your help to shape the future of the following two reserves; Barry J Powell Reserve and WJ Turner Reserve.
We want to know how you currently use the reserves and what would make you visit more.
Your ideas will help shape the masterplans.
Past consultation updates:
July 2018: Council would like to thank everyone who participated in the online forums and face to face consultations for our four park master plans below. We are pleased with the broad cross section of participants and welcomed all of the ideas shared with us.
We received an overwhelming response to the ideas provided on the online forum and have used those ideas to inform the development of Master Plans for each park.
Common themes across the plans include:
- Planting more trees to provide shady areas and enhance the visual amenity of the parks
- Improve path networks for walkers and cyclists
- Improvements to playgrounds and areas for social sports
- Provide more park amenities, including picnic facilities, seating and drinking fountains.
We are now seeking feedback on the Master Plans. We want to hear what you like about the plans, what you don’t like, and what your top three priorities would be from the ideas listed on the plans.
Thank you once again to everyone who has already participated in the online forums and face-to-face consultations, and we look forward to hearing more feedback on these four Master Plans.
