Community Support Grants Program

The City of Greater Dandenong Community Support Grants Program provides grants of up to $20,000 to support the activities of local communities. Funding is available to assist local groups and organisations with programs and events that will benefit the Greater Dandenong community.

Funding rounds

There are two funding rounds for the program each year:

  • Round 1: Closed on Friday 17 March 2017

  • Round 2: Open Monday 10 July 2017 and closing 5pm 18 August 2017

Annual priorities

Council has set the following priorities for the Community Support Grants Program for 2017:

  • Improving community safety and building community confidence to use public spaces

  • Assisting asylum seekers and refugees to find employment

  • Encouraging respect and reconciliation between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians

  • Activities that connect young people to community

  • Promoting healthy eating to families

Applications that address these priorities and provide benefit to the community in one or more of these areas will be considered favourably.
