Glad Rags and Grand Event 1940s-1960s

This exhibition features beautiful clothes and images from a golden era in Dandenong’s history.

Dr Ian and Mrs Dorothy Hart were prominent members of Dandenong Society during the 1940s-1970s where among the local residents that enjoyed many cultural events at the Dandenong Town Hall including balls, dinners, concerts, stage performances, and the Dandenong Festival of Music and Art. 

The exhibition includes photographs and objects from the Hart family collection.

The exhibition is being held at Heritage Hill, Benga House until 28 September and is open to the public Tuesday to Friday, 10am-4pm.
