Public Notice - Notice of the Preparation of Amendment, Amendment C213
08 May 2019
The City of Greater Dandenong is proposing to make changes to the residential planning rules to finalise the changes originally proposed in 2015 by Amendment C182 to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme.
To do this, an ‘amendment’ to the Greater Dandenong Planning Scheme is required. This amendment is known as Amendment C213.
Specifically, Amendment C213 seeks to introduce and apply a new General Residential Zone Schedule 3 (GRZ3) to identified areas around activity centres, apply the default mandatory building height of 11 metres (3 storeys); and make changes to the minimum garden area and private open space requirements for new residential developments.
You may inspect the amendment, any documents that support the amendment and the explanatory report about the amendment, free of charge, during office hours, at the following City of Greater Dandenong Customer Service centres:
Any person who may be affected by the amendment may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment. Submissions must be made in writing, giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make. Name and contact details of submitters are required for council to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend council meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.
The closing date for the submissions is Friday 14 June 2019.
A submission must be sent to City of Greater Dandenong, Strategic Planning - Amendment C213, PO Box 200, Dandenong VIC 3175 or emailed to email@example.com
The planning authority must make a copy of every submission available at its office for any person to inspect free of charge for two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses.
