Sport and Recreation

Sport and Leisure Policies, Strategies and Plans

The City of Greater Dandenong has an enormous variety of Sport and Active Recreation opportunities for residents and visitors. We are constantly planning how we can provide greater opportunities for the community to participate in physical activity, sport and/or active recreation. The Council also has numerous sporting pavilions and associated infrastructure (i.e. floodlights, coaches boxes and cricket nets) which we maintain.

Have your Say on the Draft Police Paddocks Sports Precinct Concept Plan

The Dandenong Police Paddocks Sports Precinct is located within the Dandenong Police Paddocks Reserve which is a 499-hectare reserve located in Endeavour Hills.

The City of Greater Dandenong (CGD) has a 21-year lease of the sports precinct, due to expire in 2033. Under the terms of the lease, CGD is responsible for the maintenance of the grounds and associated infrastructure located within the sports precinct.
