Amending a Planning Permit Application

You can apply to amend a planning permit application that has already been lodged with Council, but that has not yet been determined (no decision issued).

It is strongly suggested that you discuss the proposed amendment of your application with the planning officer processing your application before lodging your amendment request.

Depending on the extent of the changes proposed, Council may consider that notification of the proposed change must be undertaken before the application can be determined.

Note: The estimated cost of the development is used to assess the fee applicable. If the estimated cost has changed, you will need to pay the difference (if any) between the fee originally paid and the fee payable for the amended proposal.  If you are unsure of the fee that applies to your proposal, contact Council's Planning department on 8571 1000.

A request must include:

  • A completed request to amend a current application for planning permit form (Word - 215KB)
  • Amended plans with all changes clearly marked and a separate schedule listing all changes
  • payment of the prescribed application fee (if applicable) - see the Planning fees and charges section.  If you wish to pay by credit card, please submit your application and you will be sent an invoice which can be paid on Council's online payment portal
  • If submitting the request in hard copy, include an electronic copy of all application documents on USB flash drive or CD/DVD.

Please note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
