The State of the Environment (SoE) Report is a management tool that collates and analyses information to enable assessment of environmental trends. This information is then used to inform policies and practices for improving the state of Council’s environment.
The City of Greater Dandenong is one of a select number of Council’s that integrate SoE reporting, making it a highly valued tool used to inform the community of our environmental performance.
The SoE report provides the mechanism to monitor Council’s progress towards the goals and objectives identified in the 2010 Environmental Sustainability Strategy.
The SoE reports are produced on an annual basis and continued to be broadened over time to include future themes, such as community leadership and engagement, planning and development of sustainable built environments, peak oil, and efficient and sustainable use of resources.
