Thomas Carroll Reserve Pavilion Redevelopment

Project Overview

The Thomas Carroll Reserve Pavilion Redevelopment will include to complete replacement of the aging facility which services the two ovals at the reserve. The new premium community standard facility will service these two existing ovals and the future provision of a rectangular field planned for the northern area of the reserve. The new pavilion will also accommodate a variety of groups and activities and provide flexible options that can easily cater for the changing needs of the community in keeping with Council’s Multipurpose Use of Community Facilities Policy.

The facility will meet Building Code (NCC 2019), DDA requirements in addition to Council standards and policies, AFL Victoria and AFL Victoria facility standards.

The construction of the pavilion includes generous funding support from the State Governments’ Female Friendly Facility Fund of $500,000 and AFL Victoria of $100,000.

Estimated Completion: April 2022

Progress Update

Council has recently appointed an architect to complete the detailed design and documentation, with the construction due to go for tender in early 2021.
