Important COCIV-19 update regarding the Dandenong Market
The Dandenong Market was classified as an essential service and has remained opened for business for all fresh produce and ready-to-eat meals.
Dandenong Market’s non-food stalls will re-open Tuesday 2 June after the Victorian Government eased COVID-19 pandemic restrictions around trading at markets. This includes all small businesses in the Bazaar, as well as plant and flower sellers, key cutters, pet supplies, tools and garden suppliers and the popular auction which takes place every Tuesday and Friday.
Supporting local, small businesses during these unsettling times is vital and the Market is the perfect place to find all your fresh food items and ready-to-eat meals as well as your non-food items.
Making shopping as efficient as possible and ensuring the safety of the community during these times is the Market’s top priority which is why Dandenong Market has announced the trial of a new Call and Collect service starting from Friday 1 May. Call and Collect is a fast, fresh and free system that maximises the convenience of shopping at the Market. Customers simply phone or email their order through to their favourite trader on Wednesday or Thursday, pre-pay over the phone, then head to a priority queue to pick it up anytime on Friday.
