The City of Greater Dandenong is excited to announce that its Sustainability Festival will be back in 2020 for its 7th year.
This free event is for all ages and encourages everyone to come along to learn how to live a more sustainable lifestyle in many different formats.
Do you have clothes, shoes, accessories that are in good condition that you no longer wear? Bring them in for our clothes swap stall. For each item you bring in you can take two items. Or, if you don’t bring anything you can still take a single item. Let’s stop the fast fashion movement and shop-second hand.
For a gold coin donation, you can take home a beautifully designed Boomerang Bag from the ladies at Boomerang Bags Dandenong. These donations not only allow you to take home a bag but also goes towards sewing machines and money towards these volunteers who are doing amazing things in our community by reducing the number of single-use plastic bags used.
This event will also feature:
- Free pedal-powered smoothies
- Live music from local artists
- Cloth nappy workshops
- Pop up Library
- Take-home veggie plantings
- Make your own portable solar light
- Stall-holders with sustainable products
- Roving bubble performer
- Kids Yoga
- Guest Speakers
- Toy Library
- Q&A with the Waste and Parks Team
And much more.
