Australia Day Festival
Australia Day is a significant celebration for the Greater Dandenong community with over 11,000 local residents anticipated to enjoy the festival with family, neighbours and friends.
With residents from more than 150 different nations, Australia Day means different things to different people. We also acknowledge that this day can be a difficult day for some members of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and we are respectful of that. Council sees this day as a chance to honour the traditional owners of this land and celebrate what connects us – a celebration of our similarities and our differences.
The award-winning Australia Day Festival will be held in Dandenong Park, corner of Pultney and Foster streets on Sunday 26 January 2020.
