Have a Pawsome Day at Autumn Fest 2017

17 March 2017

This year’s Autumn Fest will be a family and pet friendly event, giving residents a chance to treat their whole family to a pawsome day out.

Join us for live entertainment, roving performers, workshops and family activities at this free annual celebration.

Sports games and interactive family activities will be provided by 15 local community groups, including Dandenong Pastoral and Agricultural Society, Little Champs Sports, Koala Gymnastics Club and Melbourne Ballet School.

Free activities include:

  • Bubble soccer
  • Giant slide
  • Soccer darts
  • Inflatable obstacle challenge
  • Climbing wall
  • Jumping castle
  • Giddy up ponies

Live entertainment will include the realistic Razor the Raptor dinosaur, the Jazz Dog Band and a magic show.

Get creative in the arts and crafts workshop, visit the face painting stall, learn circus tricks in the Circus Play area, dance at the Bop Till You Drop workshop.

Animal lovers can also check out the animal farm and learn how to milk a cow.

If your dog is howling for adventure and wants to make new friends then they are also welcome to join the fun. The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Victoria has organised a lure course, while Beach Pup will run interactive dog training games.

Council’s Animal Management Team will also be offering free microchipping to cats and dogs who are registered in the animal management tent on the day.

Food and market stalls will also be set up at the event, offering something for everyone.

Autumn Fest will be held on Sunday 2 April, from 11am-4pm, at Wachter Reserve, Kingsclere Avenue, Keysborough.
